Induction — Commercial Cooking Equipment

Commercial induction hobs, fry pans and buffet stations, from Hercules pans just over £22 to floor-standing double hobs for a full line rebuild.

Buying induction

Induction here covers the pan, the hob and the buffet. Hercules fry pans start at just over twenty pounds and non-stick Tribute pans from just under sixty-five, DPS induction stations and crepe pans look after front-of-house cooking, and countertop hobs run from a basic 2.7kW unit to the 4-Series and a Hobart Ecomax two-plate suite fixture. Floor-standing doubles in 700mm and 900mm depths suit a full cookline rebuild.

Before you buy the hob, check your pans: anything that holds a magnet works, plain aluminium does not. Then check the supply, because a 3.8kW countertop unit wants more than a 13A plug. For a mobile carvery or an outdoor bar, a light single hob earns its keep in a season.
