How to set up your online account and link your trade account
Quick answer. Go to lordwell.co.uk/account, enter your work email and we send you a 6-digit code. Typing the code in signs you in and creates your account on the spot. Then tap Link your trade account, give us your company name, and send the request. Our team approves it, usually the same day, and your portal switches on automatically. Any questions, call 01827 216260.
Your online account does two jobs. On its own it remembers your details and your saved lists for ordering on lordwell.co.uk. Linked to your trade account, it becomes your live portal: every quote we have priced for you, every order and where it is, every invoice and what is outstanding, all in one place, updated as our team works. Setting it up takes about five minutes and you do not need to invent a password to get started.
The questions to ask before you buy
Step 1. Go to lordwell.co.uk/account
Tap Account in the menu, or type lordwell.co.uk/account into your browser. You will see 'Sign in to your trade account' with two ways in: a password, or a 6-digit email code. First time here, use the email code. There is nothing to register first and no form to fill.
Step 2. Enter your work email and fetch your code
Use the email address we normally deal with, the one your quotes and invoices already go to. That matters later: it is how we recognise you when you ask to link your trade account. We email you a 6-digit code straight away. No password to invent, nothing to remember.
Step 3. Type the code in. That IS creating your account
Enter the 6 digits and press Verify and sign in. If you are new, this creates your online account there and then. If you would rather sign in with a password in future, you can set one inside the portal afterwards, but the email code always works if you forget it.
Step 4. Tap 'Link your trade account'
Once signed in you will see the link card. Fill in your company name as it appears on our paperwork, your account number if you know it (it is on any invoice from us, but leave it blank if not), your name and phone number. Press Request account link. That request goes straight to our team.
Step 5. We approve it, usually the same day
You will see 'Your link request is with our team' while it is pending. A real person our side checks the request against the account, so nobody can link to a company that is not theirs. Once approved, the portal switches on automatically the next time you open the page. Nothing else for you to do.
Step 6. Have a look around your portal
You now have tabs for your quotes (review and respond online, no phone call needed), your orders (with live status from our warehouse), and your invoices, with anything outstanding clearly flagged. Your usual items are one tap to reorder, and if your account has terms you can pay on account at checkout instead of by card.
The main types, and who each suits
Quotes
Every quote we have priced for you, ready to review, adjust and accept online. A quote you respond to lands straight back with our team.
Orders
Live status on everything you have ordered, from picking to delivery, including your online orders.
Invoices and statements
Every invoice with its due date, anything overdue flagged, and statements when you need them.
Your usuals
The items you buy again and again, one tap to reorder so a restock takes a minute, not an afternoon.
What to look for
- Use the email address your quotes and invoices already come to. It is the fastest way for our team to match your link request.
- Your account number is on any invoice or statement from us, top right. If you cannot find it, leave it blank and we will match you by company name.
- The 6-digit code comes from Lordwell. If it has not arrived in a minute, check spam, then tap resend.
- One login can be linked to one trade account. If you run multiple sites under different accounts, call us and we will set you up properly.
- If a colleague leaves, tell us and we will unlink their login the same day. Their access ends everywhere at once.
Costly mistakes to avoid
- Signing up with a personal email we have never dealt with, then wondering why the link takes longer. Use your work email and approval is usually same day.
- Creating a second account because you forgot your password. You never need to: the 6-digit email code signs you in every time.
- Waiting on the phone for a quote update when the portal shows it live. If it is in your quotes tab, that is the current version.
- Asking us to email a statement when the portal has it. It is there whenever you need it, not just when we are at a desk.
