How many crackers do I need for a Christmas menu?

One per cover, plus roughly 5 percent spare for breakages and last-minute extra guests. A 100-box covers a 90-cover sitting comfortably; two 50-boxes give you the same with a little more flexibility across two rooms.

What do the cracker contents letters mean?

They are the manufacturer grades. Content 1 is a paper hat and motto. C adds a novelty. N, O and X step up through better novelties and gifts, and E1 to E3 are the eco ranges with card and paper contents. The product page for each cracker lists exactly what is inside.

Are the napkins and covers recyclable?

Yes. The paper napkins, placemats and banqueting rolls are paper throughout, and the crackers are made without plastic. Several lines carry FSC certification, which is noted on the product.

When should I order for December?

These lines are ordered in from the manufacturer, so allow 3 to 5 working days and order before the last week of November if you want them on the tables for the first party bookings. Stock at the manufacturer tightens through December.
