Buying Humble
Humble makes cordless, rechargeable table lamps for hospitality. Firefly, Two and Air are the three shapes: a low lamp for a crowded table, a filament lamp that shows its light, and a tall lamp that carries across a long room. Each one runs for days on a charge, snaps onto a wireless dock to recharge, and answers to one remote across the whole room. Bodies are anodised aluminium, shades are polycarbonate or linen, and every lamp is sealed to IP65 so it works on the terrace as well as in the dining room.
Churchill brought Humble to UK hospitality in 2026 alongside its tableware, and Lordwell, as a Churchill partner, stocks the full UK range. Stock is held by Churchill in Stoke-on-Trent, so lamps, docks and accessories ship from the UK. Order online on trade account terms, or call the team on 01827 216260 to plan how many docks a room needs.
Humble: common questions
How long does a lamp last between charges?
Longer than a service. Firefly and Air run 100 to 140 hours on low, 60 to 80 hours on medium and 20 to 28 hours on high. Two runs 70 to 95 hours on candle, 22 to 30 hours on ambient and 12 to 17 hours on work. Even Firefly's boost setting, the brightest in the range, gives 10 to 12 hours, so two evenings before it needs the dock.
How do we charge them?
Put the lamp on a Charging Dock Six. Magnets pull it into alignment and charging starts on its own; a full wireless charge takes up to six hours. Two and Air also charge by USB-C in four hours. The charge light goes out after ten seconds, so a dock full of lamps does not light up the back of house all night.
How many docks do we need?
One Charging Dock Six charges six lamps, so a dock for every six lamps charges the whole room in one go at close. If bench space is short, the Stack Set turns docks into a tower: up to 30 Firefly or 18 Two or Air in one footprint, with the Cable Box underneath to hide the leads. A Charging Cart holds up to 12 docks, a maximum of 72 lamps, and rolls to a socket. Tell us the covers and we will work out the kit.
Can they go outside?
Yes. Every lamp is IP65 water resistant, with silicone seals and an anodised aluminium body, so it is suitable for terraces, courtyards and gardens. Bring them in to charge.
What does the remote do?
The RF remote switches lamps on and off, changes brightness, controls up to three separate zones so the bar can run brighter than the dining room, and locks the settings so they stay put through service. It also runs a battery check: any lamp under 30% flashes for ten seconds.
Which lamp suits which table?
Firefly is 11.8 cm tall and 8.6 cm across, for tables where plates and glasses need the space. Two is 21.2 cm tall and 8.8 cm across, with a replaceable LED filament at 2700 K, the warmest colour in the range. Air is 26 cm tall and 10 cm across, the shape that reads across a long room or a bar, at 2500 K. Shades come in frosted or smoked polycarbonate, in linen, or in a plain finish to match the base on Two and Air. Mixing families on one site is fine: every lamp charges on the same dock and answers to the same remote.
Are they in stock in the UK?
Yes. Churchill holds the UK Humble stock in Stoke-on-Trent and Lordwell stocks the full range. Delivery is free to the UK mainland on orders over 125 GBP ex VAT, and trade accounts run on 30 day terms. Call 01827 216260 to confirm availability on larger quantities.
Are the prices shown with or without VAT?
Both. Use the VAT switch on the site to show prices ex VAT or inc VAT. Trade customers usually work ex VAT.
