Dudson is one of Britain's oldest ceramics names, made in Stoke-on-Trent since 1800. The business went into administration in 2019, and the Dudson brand is now owned by Churchill China, another long-established Stoke maker, which relaunched it around the Harvest and Evo collections. What you are buying is vitrified china built for professional service, not domestic tableware dressed up for the trade. How do I read Dudson sizes and pack quantities?

Sizes are quoted in inches and refer to the widest dimension of the piece, so an 11 inch coupe plate measures roughly 11 inches across. The Box 6 or Box 12 in the name is the case quantity, meaning the number of pieces per case, and Dudson is generally supplied in full cases rather than as singles. The shape words matter too: coupe is a rimless curve, walled has a raised vertical edge, and deep or rimmed pieces are made for soups, sauces and anything wet. How quickly can I get Dudson delivered?

It depends on the line. Lordwell holds some tableware in its own warehouse, and those lines can go out for next working day when you order before the daily cut-off. Most Dudson ranges, however, are ordered in from the manufacturer, so we confirm the lead time with you before you commit rather than promising a blanket next-day. For a new site or a full re-crockery, tell us your opening or event date and we will check current stock and manufacturing lead times against it, so you are not left short at the last minute.

How should we care for Dudson so it lasts?

Treat it as commercial china. It is dishwasher safe and built for it, but let pieces cool before they meet cold water to avoid thermal shock, and do not overload racks so plates knock edge to edge. Metal cutlery can leave grey marks on lighter glazes such as Evo Pearl over time, but these are surface marks, usually lifted with a proprietary cutlery-mark cleaner rather than permanent damage. Stack like with like, take any chipped pieces out of service straight away, and the vitrified body will hold up for years of daily use.
